Hello, my name is Jaewook Jack Suh. I am conducting postdoctoral research in the Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics & Operations Research at Rice University under the supervision of Professor Shiqian Ma. I study mathematical optimization, and my recent research interests are adaptive methods and computer-assisted algorithm analysis.
I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Seoul National University, under the supervision of Professor Ernest K. Ryu.
I will be joining the School of Data, Mathematical, and Statistical Sciences at the University of Central Florida as an Assistant Professor, as part of UCF's Artificial Intelligence Initiative. I welcome inquiries from students interested in pursuing graduate research in mathematical optimization, optimization methods for machine learning, adaptive and parameter-free algorithms, and computer-assisted algorithm analysis.
